When I was notified in July 2018 that my paternal grandmother had officially entered hospice care, I didn’t fully understand what it meant, but I knew our time together was limited. For two weeks, I made the daily drive from Waleska, GA, to Forest Park, GA, to spend our final moments together. Wanting to do something special, just one last thing, I helped plan her service—booking the pastor, arranging for the praise team—but the most therapeutic part for me was creating the memorial video. Though it felt like our time was cut short, I found solace in knowing I had captured the moments that truly mattered.

In 2021, my maternal grandmother joined our Lord in heaven during the height of the global pandemic. With strict hospital visitor limitations and churches offering only graveside services, it became even more important for me to make her Homegoing Celebration truly special. I designed the announcement, service program, calendar keepsake, and memorial video, and it brought me comfort knowing that she was honored properly. Shortly after, I began creating similar keepsakes for my husband’s family and other friends and loved ones.

This is how Candid Memoirs was born—a heartfelt service dedicated to creating cherished keepsakes to honor those who have passed. In times of loss, we provide tangible reminders of love and shared memories. Specializing in homegoing programs, memorial videos, calendars, and memory cards, we strive to make farewell services not only meaningful but also deeply personal.

Let us help you celebrate the life and legacy of your loved ones with grace and care.
